19.07.08 Yeovil v Barnsley Final score 2-0
First game of the season and a typical early pre-season friendly, scrappy with few chances. Huish Park is a nice little ground and I was sat in the AugustaWestland Community stand. If you do go by train to Yeovil Junction, then get the 58 bus to the ground. I walked it and it was a mission that took over an hour.

2.8.08 Huddersfield v Sheff Utd Score 2-1
One paced friendly with few chances which either side could have won. I had a superb view from the Antich stand, indeed it looked as if you`d get a great view from any seat. I liked the Galpharm as it`s different from new `bowl` stadiums with its huge distinctive arcs above each curved stand. Its easy to find, out the station and keep going straight on over two sets of lights and you`ll see it in front of you

26.07.08 Aldershot v Leyton Orient Score 0-1
This was a really lively friendly and Aldershot played some great stuff and were unlucky to lose. I was at the front of the terrace behind the seating in the North stand, there are only stands on three sides. The ground is less than a five minute walk from the station.

23.08.08 Rotherham v Chester Final score 3-1
All the goals and the action came in an entertaining first half which the Millers fully deserved to win. Its not a bad ground and it was a better atmosphere than I had expected as only the main stand will be used this season but its got better acoustics than say the Withdean. The Don Valley is a good 40 minute walk from the station but it is well signposted around Sheffield.
